What happens on a package holiday?

Don't feel that you have to go on the excursions. The last package holiday I went on a few years ago, one of the trips they were offering cost �24 each. We took a short cab ride to the station (about �1), local train (about 50p) and entry to a place of interest (about �3) and had the freedom to do what we wanted and it was so much cheaper. Take a guide book of the area and do what you want to do. Package holidays can be very convenient - flights, transfers and hotels arranged with sometimes half or full board, but you can be free to do whatever you like when there. Have a great trip.
