How to Import a Large Amount of Favorites Back into Internet Explorer?

Our computer was recently stripped, and all our our favorites were shoved in a file. I know how to go to favorites>Import and Export...>etc. but the files won't go through and there is no better way to go about this than to go through each favorite separately, importing them. Help?? Is there a better, faster, more efficient way????
