How do I make the page not move with the space bar?

I have internet explorer 7 or 8 on a new laptop with windows 7. Every time I press the space bar (other than when I'm typing, so games and such) my arrow keys then make the page move up and down. Is there a way to stop this? I basically don't want the space bar to move the page down. Thanks!
