Nothing but Internet Explorer connects to the Internet?

My Windows 7 laptop will not connect to the internet with anything other than Internet Explorer. All of my other computers do not have this problem, I have tried everything I could. I tried turning off my firewall, but that didn't work. I am starting to think it could be a virus, but if you guys have any idea on what this is and how to fix it, please tell. I have had this problem since last year.
