My itunes, google chrome, and recently installed firefox won't open?

whenever i click on it nothing happens. it doesn't open, nor is there any messages. i tried checking the task manager but i don't see firefox, google chome, nor itunes there. i don't know whats going on.. but my sloooowwwww *** internet explorer still works
